DeafVision Filmworks is a New York based not-for-profit corporation. It was founded in 1991 by an African-American Deaf woman who holds a BFA degree from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. She believes in the importance of educating the general public about the cultural experiences of Deaf and Hard of Hearing population. It also promotes a collective sense of pride

DeafVision Filmworks aim to improve the quality of education and expose the world of Deafness' to a universal audience by producing a variety of documentaries, commercials, educational videos, films, community events, and multimedia projects.

We also aim to build bridges with other organizations or businesses by forming an alliance and partnership that engage in events sponsorship, projects collaborating or supports to promote cultural arts and awareness in the Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard-of-Hearing community.

DeafVision Filmworks strives to provide access to the film, fashion, and the art worlds for those often are intimidated and made to feel unwelcomed by the entertainment industry.
